Desmond is a ROCKSTAR! Inspiring, positive, fun, motivating and pushing you just the right amount according to your fitness level. Just out of grad school and settling into a new city and job, I was out of my fitness routine. I first attended Desmond’s ab attack and rapid body fire classes at GE. They were fun and Desmond encouraged me to keep going with his “the mind quits before the body” mantra. Each class I felt stronger and was inspired to try harder the next time.  I also started personal training weekly with Desmond to focus on weightlifting. Desmond is very thorough and tailored exercises for my target areas. He also helped me get my nutrition back on track and held me accountable with his “what are you doing?!” voice in my head when I reached for something unhealthy. Desmond motivated me to get back to my athletic self and as a result I’ve regained my energy levels, am stronger and fit into my pre-grad school clothes again. I’ve since moved to Norwalk with GE and Desmond’s classes and his motivation are greatly missed!

The modern strength development techniques Desmond teaches focus on improving functional and dynamic movements which are important in daily living, performance sports and Mixed Martial Arts. Using these strategies, he shows me how to power groups of muscles, rather than training a series of isolated large muscles. The results achieved are greater than the benefits you might expect from a series of individual exercises. This is because of the great variety of techniques which Desmond prescribes to achieve defined goals; for example, explosiveness, core strength, leg power, agility, etc. Desmond will not provide you with a miracle, but he will show you how to get the most out of your fitness and how to reach the goals you have set for yourself. In short, I feel much better after following his advice and have performed at a high level in professional Mixed Martial Arts events.

Weight Loss, Increase Cardio, Increase Strength, Increase Flexibility, Injury Rehabilitation & Nutritional Benefits "Competitive Baseball & Football" Before I began the training with Coach McLean's boot camp I was overweight, out of shape, had zero energy and always injured from my adult baseball and football leagues. Now that I've been training for the past 2 months I've lost about 10 lbs, dropped 2 notches in my belt, full of energy and have improved my skills on the field in just that little bit of time ! Coach McLean has helped me with my flexibility, full body strength, and rehabilitation (with the use of training bands and numerous stretches) of my injuries. The changes in my physique have helped me believe that I can turn my body into a full working machine on and off the field.
