First Day Summer 2011

The boot camp started with me in 2011. I was searching for an exercise program or a personal trainer. I saw Desmond's ad in LE Newsletter and contacted him. Desmond offered me a trial training session. I had not exercised in a long time and the first day took its toll on me. I was hurting all over. However, I wanted to make a change as my daughter was disappointed with me on my running pace. I Joined the program and started the 3 week a day extreme exercise program. First 2 weeks Epsom Salt baths became my favorite things to combat all the aches and sores. It was pretty painful but there was sense of accomplishment. 

Now 2012

When I started the program I had high cholesterol, high sugar levels and a significant weight. I am 5' 11" weighed 240 lbs. Now thousands of push ups, sit ups and miles later. I feel much stronger in my legs and arms, My Cholesterol is way low and sugar levels are stable. I have lost 16 lbs and gained muscle. I can now run better and faster. For the first time in my life I can skip rope which Coach Desmond taught me in class. One of my goals to join this exercise program was to fit in designer clothes and wear my TX belt buckles. I am able to do that all now as I have dropped 4" off my waist line. Now I am working towards increasing my stamina further, Shorten my waist line and get my stomach in some definition. 

The best thing in this program is that Coach Desmond keeps changing exercise routines and there is never a dull moment. Coach Desmond is one of the best motivators I have ever met in my life. Coach Desmond has inspired me so much that even when I had to skip 3 months I actually felt guilty and kept on doing exercises. Other than exercise Coach Desmond also gives valuable advise on Food and eating right. One of my old foot injuries re-surfaced but the good thing about the exercise program is that Coach Desmond was able to customize the exercise program for me. I am still in the program and working towards a better, healthier, alert body. I have seen a significant uplift in my mood, confidence and health overall. I look forward to 2013 and Re-inventing myself.

I finally decided to get off my sofa in July of this year. I was out of shape, had no stamina and lacked the motivation needed to commit to anything long term, but I decided I would give boot camp a try.  It was the best decision I've made in a long time.  I personally feel that i look better and I feel better mentally, physically and emotionally.  Unbelievably I look forward to waking at 4:15am so that I can be there on time to get my "workout on."  I'll be honest though, it's not easy, but the class is not only motivating, but a lot of fun of as well.  There are still a lot of things that I can't do and give out during the workouts…a lot, but the thing I love about Coach (as I affectionately call him) is that he doesn't give up on you and he doesn't take excuses.  He's a true motivator and you believe you can give him "one more" because he believes that you can.

"First day of class with Desmond, can be described as Pushing it to your Limits! I came in thinking that it would be an easy cardiovascular class. Boy was I wrong!!! His class is a High Intensity Interval Training class, action packed with all the necessary exercises that concentrates on both upper body and lower body muscles, not to mention a constant core workout. Running out of breath by the end of the first 5 minutes is expected, which is what you want in order to keep that heart rate up!! Calorie burning efficiently and effectively! Plus Desmond is a wonderful instructor, no fuss, no over the top cheers, just the perfect "Give me one more" that gets you to do exactly just that! I will most certainly keep attending and also looking forward to a more personal training experience! Thank you Desmond!!
